Feminist Imaginaria: Working Papers

Updated: May 5, 2021

For more information and a link to register, please refer to our events page.

As a lead-up to the full conference in November, Femspec will be hosting a working papers session for members of the Femspec community to share and receive feedback on their work. You do not need to be a subscriber to Femspec to participate.

The intention of this session is to gather together, share work, and receive feedback. While this event is something of a preliminary session to the full Feminist Imaginaria conference, participation is not required, nor is it a guarantee of future publication. Rather, we intend for this to be an opportunity to get constructive feedback and test-run paper presentations. Scholars and writers of all stages of their career are welcome.

The event will take place over 3 hours, with the time distributed among the participants. Each participant will have the opportunity to present their paper and have a short discussion and feedback session afterward.

If you would like to register as a participant, which secures you a spot to present your paper and receive feedback, we ask for a suggested donation of $45-$85 at the donation link on our events page. Please submit your abstract for consideration to Batya Weinbaum. You will be registered as a participant when you submit your donation and receive a notice of acceptance for your abstract.

If you would like to register as an attendee, listen to the presentations and provide feedback without presenting your own paper, we ask for a suggested donation of $25-$35. You will be registered as an attendee when you submit your donation; you do not need to send any additional information.

The Feminist Imaginaria: Working Papers session will be held on June 12th from 10am EST - 1pm EST on Zoom. Participants will receive a Zoom link shortly before the event takes place. We hope to see you there!
