FEMSPEC
An interdisciplinary feminist journal dedicated to science fiction, fantasy, magical realism, surrealism, myth, folklore, and other supernatural genres.

FEMSPEC is a collectively-produced peer-reviewed journal run primarily by women. As such, we believe in a non-hierarchical community and work to make our space one of cooperation. All members are valued, listened to, and respected without regards to age, experience, or professional position. We encourage all voices to contribute to our cause through non-violent communication.

Femspec is pleased to announce that our latest issue, 20.2, is now available to order. This issue continues the Femspec retrospective celebrating our 20th anniversary. The issue includes critical essays on Octavia Butler, Maurice Broaddus, Helen Oyeyemi, and Alice Walker, an interview with Kohenet D'vorah J. Grenn, Ph.D, an excerpt of 1492 The Play: The Conquest Through Native Eyes and a short story by Batya Weinbaum, critical reviews and conference coverage.
